    Greatest inventions

I'm sure mine will change as I go through other ages and stages.

For the first year, I'd say a hands free pumping bra and the mesh feeder.

What do you think are the greatest inventions for kids and/or parents?

I think the swing was my favorite invention when my kids were babies.

Infant carseat, so you can get them out of the car without waking them up.

Oh, and heavy-duty painkillers during birth ;)

Those jumping johnny things that the baby could stand/spin and jump in and that attached to doorways. It pretty much was the only thing that allowed me to eat hot food while sitting down the first year of their lives.

The chair that played music and could be set to vibrate and was a little bouncy.

Clear glass shower doors so I could watch her while I showered and she could watch me and not freak out.

Especially with my last 2 babies. My third was colicy and cried pretty much all the time. The swing was the only thing that kept her quiet, for at least 30 minutes. My fourth, he had reflux so the swing helped him, too. He slept in it a lot because whenever we laid him down, he would erf everywhere.

Jolly Jumper. My FIL used to say that my husband was one of the first kids to use one.... but I'm not really sure if that\s true.

First year must haves.... swing then exersaucer.
