How disappointing, I know how you feel. I had my dinner and movie night with the girls last week and the person in charge of the movie time got it wrong so we had dinner and then went to a yogurt place instead of the movie.

I usually check the times also but this was a movie I didn't really care to see so used my instinct and let my friend take care of it knowing chances were we'd not make the movie. Passave agressive at it's best. *giggle*
The move was 17 again, not something I was jumping to see.
If the movie had been Star Trek or Angels and Demonds I would have checked, double checked and bought my ticket in advance.
Saw the movie today for our "Unvalentine's Day" date (basically, our "dating" anniversary). I thought it was awesome. They did a great job casting, in my opinion. I was really glad they didn't have a cameo from Shatner. I honestly think he would have ruined the movie, with his "style" of acting.
I liked that they didn't "overpopulate" the movie with aliens just because they could (Jar Jar Binks from Star Wars comes to mind, etc.). I will say, I did find the makeup for the Orion chick a little... bad? I expected more with regards to the makeup/special effects available these days. Of course, maybe it was MEANT to be a "bad" makeup job, a la the original series.
I was just really pleased with the movie. I am not a "Trekkie", but I do enjoy the original series. This movie has me wanting more from this "crew".
We did see Dance Movie. We were with another couple, none of our kids were with us and we drove over an hour to get to the movie theater.You will love this one, it's worth waiting for.

We probably won't go to see it now unless it comes to our cheap theater in the town 20 miles away. They only show movies on Friday, Saturday and Sunday nights. They don't always get the new releases.

I watched this last night as I got it from Netflix. What an AWESOME movie!! I don't know much about Star Trek except the character names. I thought the movie was really, really good. I am going to be buying this one!
I saw this in the theater and I just bought the DVD on Thursday. I thought it was freaking awesome! Much Nero lust going on over here.I loved it when Bones and Kirk first met, when Bones said something to the effect that he's going to throw up on Kirk, and then years later when Bones injected Kirk with something that made him ill, Kirk said the same thing to Bones, I'm going to throw up on you.
