How old were you when your were first married?

If your husband was under 27, do you feel as though he was fully mature and able to make a sound decision to marry you? Were you mature enough to make a sound decision?

(This is a spinoff of another thread mentioning that men's brains aren't fully developed until 27, on average).

I was 19 and he was 21. No, we were not mature enough and it wasn't a good decision, but by sheer luck and force of will it has worked out well and we're very happy.

I was 38 and he was 47, first (only) marriage for both but we'd lived with other people previously.

We moved in together when I was 26 and he was 35. Our brains were as mature as they were going to get.

I was 19 and he had just turned 20. We've been married for 21 years now.

We were both 27. In about four and a half weeks, we will celebrate our 20th anniversary

Edit: because I can't believe that 20 years has passed so quickly!

This except we were 21 (me) and 22 (him). We often say that we've grown up together.

I was 26 and dh was 25 and we had been together 5 years at that point. We've been married 21 years now. We were both university graduates and had been living together for 2.5 years before we got married - so yes I think he was mature enough to make that decision

We were 32 and 31. We were originally together romantically at 23 and 22, broke up and ended up in bad relationships, before coming back together 8 years later.

My wife and I were both 29, I am two months older than her but I am 10 years younger mentally
