    Irma: Strongest Storm Ever Recorded

I'm not sure what debate is here but... this looks real bad.
We have friends that recently moved to Miami. They're heading to their other house in Gainesville. They said they had to go to 4 gas stations before they could fine one with gas to make the drive...

I went through Hurricane Gilbert while vacationing in Cancun in 1988 (cat 5). It was terrifying. Hoping Irma turns out to sea.

I have a friend who moved down there a year ago, and is renting a place in a high rise on the waterfront in Miami. Hoping she'll evacuate, but more likely she'll be working through the storm she's a labor nurse.

I have several sets of family in Key Largo, and friends who just moved to Key West. The Key West friends have evacuated. The Key Largo family contingent has lived there for about 40 years and they never evacuate. I am hoping this time will be different, but I doubt it. I'm really worried for them.

My heart is breaking for the people of the Caribbean nations right now. Many of whom will have to ride this out in shacks made of cinder block with tar paper roofs . I can't imagine what the devastation in Haiti is going to be like

Yes, it's a Conga Line of tropical storms. Let's hope that they're not all as bad as Harvey and Irma.

Katia is located in the southwest Caribbean and is unlikely to have any impact on the US.
