    First child- we don't eat anything unless your hands have just been washed, the fruit has been washed, you are sitting down at the table, or in your high chair or whatever.
    Second child- Let's maybe give that fruit a quick rinse. Let me see your hands. No visible dirt, we are all good.
    Third child- I see you found a cookie on the floor. Let's call that lunch.

    True story. Well, mostly true, lol.

    Most of the grocery stores around here offer fruit or cookies. Guess which one my kids choose?

    I made went through all of those phases with just the one child .

    Six month old: drops pacifier on living room carpet - Oooh lets boil that and make it safe
    12 month old : drops pacifier in Walmart - Mummy'll just suck that clean for you
