Lieberman emerges as front-runner for FBI post

Joe Lieberman, the former Democratic vice-presidential nominee, is the front-runner to be named FBI director, according to several White House officials and advisers.
Senior administration officials have told others in the last 12 hours that Trump is expected to pick Lieberman to replace FBI director James Comey, who was abruptly fired by Trump last week.

I am sure this won't be controversial
Opportunities are usually disguised as hard work, so most people don't recognize them.

I'm not seeing much in the way of support of him from either party...

What? Didn't see that coming. What an odd choice.

Oddly, I am not surprised. After Liebermann lost to Ned Lamont in the primaries, he's made himself an anti-liberal troll. For example, Liebermann lead the effort to shoot down the public option in the Senate (after initially committing to it). It would make sense that Liebermann would pursue a role in the Trump adminstration, one as a finger in the eye of the liberals who rejected him (twice 2004 in Prez Primary, and 2006 in Senate primary), and two because his foreign policy and national security priorities aren't extraordinarily different than Trump's even if he states his views on these matters more diplomatically.
If you are not willing to fall flat on your face, then the only thing you will have is a pretty face.

I think Lieberman would be a good addition to the Administration. FBI Director? I dunno...
