Offices in a by the hour facility

Not a no tell motel but the office equivalent.

Do you have those "flexible office space" buildings where you are? If so, what would you think of someone using one on a permanent basis?

Those seem to be the only affordable office rentals lately but I don't think it gives a good impression.

I don't think we have anything like that here, but office space isn't all that expensive here. We do have a pretty well known business incubator here though.

I worked as a receptionist for a shared-office company many years ago. I remember we had a diverse clientele, including two psychiatrists and a number of software companies. I think as long as the space is well-kept, neat and tidy, etc., there's nothing wrong with having an office there.

We just moved to a shared office space with a great central area for working and having 1on1 meetings with guests. This place has more of an open, loft, high tech feel...many smaller tech related companies.

I have seen shared offices which are more suited for your field. Traditional office, closed door, etc. Would your clients know?

I don't know. I'll send some links when not on the phone. One for sure is a giveaway.

I've heard of them for work at home types who need a space part time.
Opportunities are usually disguised as hard work, so most people don't recognize them.

Anyway, they are more professional than Starbucks (or other coffee shops). People set up shop and have meetings there all the time. One time I saw a guy set up a big tower computer and two monitors in one....

    I think it's a great idea!

We have "touchdown" stations for employees who mostly work from home but need to come into the office for a meeting.

    it's smart
