I mean, sure, if we had run across some bad guys, I suppose she could have shot them. Since it is unlikely that we were going to be attacked though, I was more concerned about the could be stoned lady with a gun in her purse.
Those are the people I worry about shooting me or their own foot, while trying to "save me".

The day teachers are allowed to bring guns to school is the day I will quit!

No teacher who is in the classroom drunk is a "wonderful" teacher. I mean, she may be wonderful in every other way, but being in charge of a room full of kindergarten students while drunk cancels out anything else imo.
DANG IT. There went my coping mechanism for dealing with those kiddos!
Obviously, I am just kidding. There are definitely days we joke about wishing for a margarita machine in the workroom though, lol. I am in a building that only has pre-k and K students, lots of opportunities for WTF moments there.

Ours is a sick and violent society. We're totally okay with millions of guns being carried around by people who have no training whatsoever in gun safety, and we blithely except the thousands and thousands of people who are wounded and killed by gunfire in this society every year. In fact, we staunchly defend the chaos as "our right". The rest of the civilized world is appalled by it, but we're just fine and dandy with it.
