Snow day 2. I treated myself to breakfast at a local diner and went and had my nails done. I feel like I could nap, but I'm afraid if I don't I'll be up all night. Hopefully, tomorrow goes without any kinks and Friday is a Superintendent's Day, so not students.

    Grrrrr.

Ponds are still frozen here and I need to line the wood duck houses with pine shavings. That's on the docket tomorrow - preferably before it rains. Pretty soon it will warm up to the 40s and I don't want to wear hip waders to get to the duck houses.

I worked night shift last night and my parents kept the puppy so I could sleep today. They are Godsends. Apparently the angelic puppy is napping while Mom quilts, so I'm enjoying a coffee and then heading over to collect my little beast.

Our lost cat just came back tonight. He was gone over a month as of today.

I put a live trap out several weeks ago on our porch and caught several other neighborhood cats instead.

Tonight my wife comes to me and goes "I hear his meow!" We go on the porch and there he was in the trap.

I wanted to make sure so I brought him inside in the trap and as soon as I opened the trap he jumped in my wife's arms and kept meowing and going back and forth between us.

He's lost some weight of course so he's eating and drinking right now. Going to take him to the vet this week to get checked out just in case

Don't think so he was skinnier and his coat was thicker. His nails were very long but he let us trim them.

He wouldn't leave my wife's side last night he went right back to sleeping next to her. When she got up and he kept following her and meowing.
