Blizzard on the way! Blech.
Blizzard on the way! Blech.
Snow starts tomorrow though, but definitely getting a snow day or two out of it. I will stop at the store on the way home, only because I usually do on Mondays anyway. I also want to ask someone if they will snow blow and plow so I will need to pick up cash. DH is down state teaching. Hoping he is able to travel safely.
Same basic weather here. It's cold out there, has been cold all weekend, and tomorrow the snow is supposed to start between 4-5 am and we could get 2 feet.
Me, Doug, and my sister are going up to Boston tonight for a concert, I'm pretty excited but not looking forward to walking around in the freezing temperatures.
Of course, we are supposed to go to Outdoor Camp tomorrow morning, in the middle of the biggest snowstorm of the winter. We've already had parents asking if we're still going. Not my call. If we can get there, the kids will have a fabulous time. Also, I came back from Wisconsin specifically because I had this committment. Everyone knows I hate snow, but if we don't go and I could be taking care of the baby until son-in-law (who is still in the hospital) is on his feet, I will be most peeved.
I have vacuumed and started the dishwasher, and I'm going to run into the IGA on my way to school. I expect to haul home my Girl Scout cookies, too!
dinner - chicken, parmesan noodles, peas
Down with the Tsar!
Time to storm the Winter Palace...
It snowed most of the night in our first snow fall of consequence since the middle of December. This morning's commute was a Nightmare on Elem Street as, somehow, many people managed to forget in just two months how to drive on snow.

Stay warm and safe, all of you. We have warmer weather, but SO. MUCH. POLLEN. Weather.com says the pollen for today is only moderate, but my allergies did not get that message.
I think the kids are all better, but we will skip lunch with DH's grandma just to be safe. And it's spring break for the schools around here, which means no children's choir. So all the things that make for a normal Monday are gone.
We'll get some school done, and hopefully I'll be able to get some work done, too. I have this feeling that there's some errand I need to run today...but I can't come up with what it is. Hope it's not important.
We were supposed to have a pi day party tomorrow at work, but now it will be on St. Patrick's Day instead. I made my pie last night, I hope it survives until Friday.
My last day of unemployed freedom.Tomorrow I'm going in to do some training and paperwork, as a casual. Not sure what this means for my permanent position application, so hopefully I'll find out. I should be hustling to finish the projects I'm in the middle of - like painting the bathroom door which is currently taking all of the floor space in our dining room. So of course I'm noodling around on the internet.
To try to justify it, part of what I'm doing is searching Amazon for a present for dh. His birthday is on Wednesday, and I completely forgot. Good thing I also forgot last month to cancel our trial Prime membership, because we have free 2 day shipping.
I overslept this morning. Luckily, I had a chiropractor appointment at 8 so I didn't have to leave the house as early as I usually do when I have to go straight to work. My back has been horrible lately, so I made another appointment for Wednesday morning. Last week and this morning, the chiro did a little work on my shoulder, too. I think it's helped to break up the scar tissue so it's less painful whenever I move my arm/shoulder.
My bra was driving me absolutely crazy today, so during my lunch break, I ran out and bought a new one and changed when I got back to work. I was about ready to burn my old one!
