I've watched the 1st episode and will watch the rest when later on. I just read the book last week so it is too fresh in my mind and I will notice every little difference. I want to wait till my memory fades a little to watch the rest.

I liked the book, ended up reading more of the author. I DVR'd the first episode, but can't bring myself to watch, because I will have to get HBO!

How did you DVR the first episode if you don't have HBO?

I got HBO just to watch Game of Thrones. HBO NOW is what I subscribe too.

HBO always has a free week when they premiere a series, just so that they hook you into buying it!

I really dislike Laura Dern, so it's natural to find her character annoying.

Ditto for Nicole Kidman and her character's warped marriage.

Liking Reese Witherspoon and Shailene Woodley however. They are the reasons I am watching.

Good story, but it reminds me so much of the town dh was raised in and dd1 went to ktg and 1st grade.

I read the book and was worried knowing the ending would spoil the story but I'm still finding it to be a good watch. The casting is very well done.
