Is it wrong to kiss your child on the lips?

When you're a celebrity in the spotlight, critics are always going to have something negative to say, and when you're a celebrity mom in the spotlight, the judgments on anything and everything related to your parenting style are pretty much nonstop. On Dec. 12, Hilary Duff posted an adorable photoof herself kissing her 4-year-old son, Luca, at Disneyland . . . on the lips. Spending the day at the happiest place on earth should never warrant any hate, but in this case, people had horrible things to say about Hilary kissing her son.
The comments section on Hilary's Instagram post have been filled with hateful words, telling her how "disgusting" and wrong it is to be kissing her son on the lips. Well, we had enough of these ridiculous judgments a long time ago, as has Hilary, who responded to haters in the best way possible: with a calm and powerful tweet.

When my son was young we kissed him on the lips all the time. As he got older we stopped doing that - but I have no issues with anyone else doing especially with a 4 year old. People need to loosen the bun.

My wife does it sometimes to our 7 year old, I called CPS afterward to put a stop to it.
Opportunities are usually disguised as hard work, so most people don't recognize them.

Ridiculous. I avoided it when possible because I get cold sores often enough that I didn't want it to become a habit I didn't think about and inadvertently give them herpes when I had one and kissed them.

I still kiss some of my kids on the lips - always my youngest son (23), youngest step-daughter (38) and son-in-law (40). Those that don't like or want lip-kissing, we kiss on the cheeks. But I'm always up for a good lip kiss!

People who criticize that type of love expression are assholes.
