I got an IP too! I'm scared of it. I'm a college educated woman, and I'm having a hard time gearing up to figure it all out.

I made Korean beef I mine tonight. It was tasty. I was also scared, but it went smoothly.

For Christmas we gave one IP to my parents and one to my brother and his fiancee. Mac and cheese was their first voyage, and a hit! The folks haven't cracked the box yet, so we'll see.

I've got a Farberwear brand pressure cooker. I've used it a few times to cook chicken and I really like it. I'm looking forward to cooking some of the beef my dad gave us.

I made frozen chicken drumsticks yesterday. It went smoothly. I'm frustrated because I don't know how long to cook things. With a slow cooker you have a window of 1-2 hours where you won't overcook something. With the IP, it seems more precise. I don't cook that way, so I'm frustrated.

But I asked for it, so I can't be frustrated with anyone but myself. I'll figure it out with time I guess.

Keep us posted. I never know when dinner will be because DH's schedule is so unpredictable. I love that with a crockpot, I can just aim to be done at about 630, and if we eat at 730, nothing is overcooked but it is still hot. I worry about that with an IP, which is one reason I haven't yet pulled the trigger.

Okay, so my Korean beef was tasty as hell, but the seal... it stinks. I tried soaking it in vinegar and dish soap, them ran it through the dishwasher, it still stinks. Any suggestions on how to remove the smell?
