    A. No 16yo got to stay at my house until midnight unless she was sleeping over.

    B. My dh would have driven her home.

    C. I have girls, and I admit that it does make a difference in my mind.

I agree with point A. My kid isn't 16 yet, but midnight seems late for a 16 year old. I don't know if gender would make a difference to me as I only have a boy.

I would have driven him home if only for my own piece of mind.

I'm also the parent who waits & confirms the kid gets in the door before driving away.

It's just a safety thing for me. I feel responsible as long as the kid is in my care.

I'm big on peace of mind too. I would have at least made him text me when he got home. We also have an 11pm curfew in the summer and earlier in the school year, so midnight wouldn't have happened.

Midnight happened here, on weekends. Dd and her friends were all similar.

For that short a ride I'd offer, but send the kid on her way if she wanted to. It would be more likely my kid on the bike, though, and I'd be fine with it as long as she had her lights with her. Right now, a bike is her only mode of transportation, so I'm assuming she rides home from work at night. I also was that bike-riding 16 year old, as well, and rode late at night all the time. Still do.

This, even though I have a (9yo) son as well as a teenage daughter.

I wouldn't be driving any kid anywhere at midnight and I would think it was weird for a kid to leave at midnight instead of staying over, unless maybe they were old enough to drive and had a car. If I knew they weren't spending the night I'd probably make them head home closer to 10, especially if I knew they were on a bike. But if they said their parents were okay with it (and I'd ask) then I'd let them do it.

My kid wouldn't be riding a bike home at midnight. I always made mine ride home before sunset unless they were just riding around our own subdivision.

I read the title and wondered what responsibilities are associated with ovulation prediction kits. Which is a really weird association for *me* to have made.

I'm probably not driving anyone around at midnight except my own kids, unless maybe it started pissing down rain or snowing. At 16, if they get themselves from point A to B, they're generally capable of getting back even at midnight.

    Both of these.
