    Hello and welcome!
I can't think of anything witty to say for my signature line.

My degree is in Criminal Justice Administration. I am currently on a hiatus from seeking work as I took the LSAT with hopes of entering law school this fall. If that falls through, then I will start job hunting.
Yayyyyyyy!!!! A new criminal! Oops, I mean criminal justice person!! Lol

I was an assistant DA before I had too many children and became the old woman in the shoe. Good luck! I hear getting into law school is much tougher than it used to be, but hang in there. Sometimes getting a little experience is what pushes you over the top on a law school application, too.

What do you think you might want to do? Prosecution/defense work? Loads of police departments are civilianizing their non-patrol positions, so positions are opening up as cops who previously filled them retire.

If you have any specific questions, feel free to PM me!

I'm torn on prosecution/defense. I like both a lot... but it is usually case-dependent too. I imagine law school courses will help me decide. I've been researching the non-traditional law student role as well, for application pointers.

Ours really only has dispatch/records positions available... I wouldn't mind heading into social work though... but getting more into the administrative part since everyone seems so incompetent in that arena. I really get steamed over cases where a child should obviously be removed, but no one does anything about it.

    And thanks! :)

Truth. It's a very tough job emotionally, and it fairly cries out for people who can lead.
