I've been in insurance defense work since 2012. Michigan's no-fault laws are very specific, and largely why we have among the highest car insurance rates in the country. But FAR too many try to commit fraud... and that's what we get. The fraudulent claims, the ambulance-chasing law firms who solicit clients (which is illegal), the same bunch of "doctors" who do auto accident cases, etc. Interesting, but incredibly busy! I schedule depositions in my sleep LOL
Yay for insurance defense work!
I'm a claims adjuster so I'm a bit biased.
I handled environmental litigation (among with some other commercial losses) and as such I work closely with both our coverage counsel and defense counsel.
