What do you do? I used to be in criminal law. Now I police three daughters.
I've been in insurance defense work since 2012. Michigan's no-fault laws are very specific, and largely why we have among the highest car insurance rates in the country. But FAR too many try to commit fraud... and that's what we get. The fraudulent claims, the ambulance-chasing law firms who solicit clients (which is illegal), the same bunch of "doctors" who do auto accident cases, etc. Interesting, but incredibly busy! I schedule depositions in my sleep LOL

I did insurance defense in law school, (internships) mostly worker's comp. I also did a plaintiff's firm and matrimonial just to see what it was like. So. Much. Paperwork. And billing!

Criminal has some, but it's a fraction. Most of our stuff is just on the record. But you have to be comfortable doing it on the fly, sometimes. Our surprises are usually in open court.

I never wanted to do litigation in the first place, but didn't have much choice... but I can honestly say that I am never bored LOL
