    Hard to believe the verdict was delivered 20 yrs ago...

    There's no way it can be both 20 years ago AND while I was in high school. Something is off with the math! Lol

    I will never forget the day that this verdict came in. I was working in the customer service center for the gas and electric company. The call center went quiet. No calls coming in at all; so unusual. People around me were on the phone with family and friends who had access to a tv. When the verdict was read, many of my black co-workers cheered around me, while my white co-workers just stood or sat where they were silent. I was horrified by that.

    I would say that's probably the first time in my life I ever felt a significant division between people based on the color of our skin.

    Do you remember being glued to the tv watching that white Bronco?

    That was the first taste of reality tv that I can remember. It was awesome
