    Children's books, I need a recommendation!

I'm invited to a baby shower and the host has asked that everyone bring the baby a book, what are your favourites?

Two favorites around here are Little Owl's Night and The Little Mouse, the Red Ripe Strawberry, and the Big Hungry Bear. Other titles by either of those authors are great as well.

Anything by Sandra Boynton is good. I always liked Hippos Go Berserk! and Moo, Baa, La La La! Also Eric Carle - Very Hungry Caterpillar and Very Grumpy Ladybug.

On the Day You Were Born, anything by Eric Carle, and I Saw an Ant on the Railroad Track (which is so awesome and should be better known than it is).

Roch Carrier's the Hockey Sweater. It's a historical tale about your home team!

Can't go wrong with these two authors or with Lois Ehlert.

    Another favorite: The Magic Hat.

Dr. Seuss - take your pick. Same with Richary Scarry "Best Wordbook Ever" I still love that book.

This is our all-time favorite. The boys both had it memorized at one point.
