No, he hasn't. He has used the religion as a panacea to help himself think he's ok with not being who he is and being celibate, because he's been told his whole life that he is broken/something is wrong with him. Guaranteed, this is a psychological placebo effect.

Puddleglum, I'm curious as to what your education level is with regard to Christianity (i.e. self-taught, studied at such-and-such denomination church, religious degree from whatever institute of higher learning, etc) and what is your status (layperson, deacon, priest, pastor)? What kind of authority do you have to state what Christianity does or does not mean?

There isn't a chance in hell I will read this book because I don't want a penny of mine going to support this sort of mentality. Even if it is free, I don't want to give a single click through to anything that supports this sort of thing. I find it disgusting.

The damage that can be done to the psyche by organized religion never ceases to amaze me.

I'm pretty sure that that's all this person is capable of posting about. Quite frankly, I'm wondering if they're here to spam shit and they get paid or get a kick back.

I remember this poster's previous stint here. Let's just say that the poster is a religious fundamentalist. And based on at least one old thread, the poster must be mighty disturbed by the inevitability of the legalization of same-sex marriage.
