  • Reheating Lasagna?

I have half of a 13x9 pan of lasagna leftover from dinner last night and want to have it again for dinner tonight. How do I reheat it in the oven so it doesn't dry out?

I would do it on very low heat. And I wouldn't hesitate sprinking some water on the top of it.

Make sure you cover it with foil also.

I cover mine completely with foil and have no problem with it drying out.

yes, I would try sprinkling water on it. I've never done that but mine always gets dried out and sounds like that would be a good idea.

What temp should the oven be on and for how long?

Cover it with foil (tightly) and if it looks a little dry, sprinkle a little water over it. I usually do it at 350 until it looks hot, then I stick a knife into the center and then feel the end of the knife to see if it feels warm, if the knife doesn't get warm it isn't hot in the center yet.

I would do 300 degrees for 30 minutes...or just until you stick your finger in the middle and it's hot. (of course you have to recover that spot with cheese to hide it...not that I would do such a thing)

I'd nuke it myself, but for the oven, I'd add a bit of water and cover tightly with foil.

I'd do the oven at 350 with foil (and perhaps a little water sprinkled on top). Personally, I've never felt that lasagna or pizza reheat well in the microwave...it makes them...bland. I usually use the toaster oven or a regular oven. Could just be my funky taste buds though.

I usually do the microwave, too, and I thought it made them funky as well, so I thought I'd try it in the oven but had no idea how to do it.

                      Thanks!

FYI, lasagne is even better the next day.

                          I think so, too.

We had leftover lasagne tonight. I reheated it in the microwave, and thought it was fine.

Sometimes I will heat the whole pan in the oven at 350 until it's hot. 30 minutes or so.

If I am worried about it drying out, I will get some extra sauce to serve with it.

So, Deb - did you reheat it? Was it gummy or tasty?
